Obituary

In Loving Memory of Maria Baranowski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Baranowski on October 1, 2026 at 99 years old, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend.

Maria was the beloved wife of Henry (predeceased). She was the proud mother of Johnny (Elsje), Christine (Jeff), Donna, and predeceased by Henry,  Teddy,  Michael, Mary (John),  Alex and Eddie.

She was a treasured grandmother to Ronnie, Andrea, Peter, Lenny, Paul, Michael, Natasha, Lisa, and Vanessa, and a loving great-grandmother to her many great-grandchildren.

To her family and everyone who loved her, Maria was lovingly known as Baba. She will always be remembered for her warmth, her generous heart, her wonderful cooking, and the joy she found in bringing her family together around the table.

Maria was deeply proud of her Polish heritage and spent many happy years belonging to her beloved Polish Club, enjoying accordion music, folk dancing, and the friendships she made there.  Maria loved to support young Polonia attending Polish Festivals and Polish Picnics, and she was a proud patriot and supporter of the The Solidarnosc movement. She was also a familiar and much-loved presence in her neighborhood, often sitting on her porch and warmly greeting everyone who passed by.

Maria had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, cats, and birds.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, laughter, and cherished memories. Though she will be deeply missed, we take comfort knowing that she is now at peace in Heaven, reunited with her beloved husband Henry and resting among the angels.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Baba.
