Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Olivia at the age of 94. Now reunited with her loving husband Jose, Olivia can rest in eternal peace along with him, her siblings and her parents in heaven.
Olivia will be forever loved and missed by her four children, Fernando (Maria de Jesus), Maria de Fatima (Joao), Teresa (Manuel) and Ana Maria. A proud and loving grandmother, Olivia leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Fernando (Daniela), Christine, Jerry (Cyrena), Steve (Jacqueline), Christopher, Jennifer (Jeff), Sandy (Marcio), Matthew (Vanessa), Justin and Kyle. She was an adoring great-grandmother to sixteen great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Scarlett, Adam, Zara, Alessio, Sienna, Cameren, Noah, Olivia, Julian, Alexis, Chelsea, Marlo, Capri, D’Angelo and Dante; each of whom she loved dearly and who brought immense joy to her life.
Olivia was incredibly fashionable and loved to get dressed up. She took pride in her appearance; always wearing several pieces of beautiful jewelry, and often getting her hair and nails done alongside her daughter. She looked effortlessly put together and smelled of the sweetest perfume. She loved to spend her days walking down Dundas street to the Portuguese bakery with family. Olivia was proud of her Portuguese heritage, which was evident in her desire to live right within the community of Little Portugal.
She possessed a quiet resilience, a generous heart and a kindness that will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration to all those who had the honour of knowing her. Olivia’s legacy will be the constant love and devotion she showed to her family. Her absence is already felt by those who loved her.
A heart felt thank you to the kind and supportive staff at Maynard Nursing Home, who loved and cared for our treasured Olivia in her final moments.

- and what a privilege it was.
In lieu of flowers, and if so desired, donations can be made in Olivia’s name to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
