Obituary

Mary-Lou Green Benvenuti, 80, of Toronto, passed away January 21st, 2024.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Henry, granddaughter Brittany (Nick) and sister Faith.

She is preceded by her mother & father Margaret & Albert, Her siblings David, Kathy & James. As well as her daughter Tami.

Mary-Lou was a international Art director for Vidal Sassoon. She then moved her career into TV/Movies as a hair stylist with IATSE, working with many legends over her long and wonderful career.

Mary-Lou was a mentor and inspiration to many, and her legacy will continue to live on through the others she left such a big impression on. She was referred to by many of her peers as ahead of her time & one of a kind.

She was once quoted: "I can't just cut hair. I have to do it in bigger-than-life situations, and I take all the risks to find something new." -People magazine Sept. 1980

This sentence stood true through everything she did in life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the kidney foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
