Obituary

At the request of the family and, with concern for everyone's health; Masks are to be worn at all time in the funeral home.

In loving memory of Mary Josephine Senyk (nee Trakalo). Peacefully, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Rouge Valley Extendicare.  Mary passed in her 88th year.  Mary was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, William (Bill) Senyk, her mother, sister and brother.  Leaving behind her sisters Nettie and Rose and their families, local and distant family and many friends.

Mary was involved with many church organizations from 1951 to 1964.  She was an extremely hard worker, a loving and kind person that kept our family together during hard times as she was the sole provider after our father passed in 1955.  Her loving care continued into her marriage as she looked after her husband during his bouts of back troubles, heart attacks and diabetes, all the time looking after a large home in Toronto.  Her workload increased after their move to Kirkfield, where the large grounds, gardens and the stockpiling of firewood were added to her labours.

As a hostess and cook, her home was never lacking visitors, both family and friends from far and near.  After her husband passed in 2001, Mary’s health started to deteriorate over the next few years, at which time, in 2013, she was admitted to the nursing home.  She will be sorely missed by all that had a chance to meet and know her.
