Obituary

In her 84th year, on April 6, 2008, peacefully at St. Joseph?s Health

Centre, after a long illness. Paraskewia was a devoted wife for almost

62 years to Petro Wjunenko; a loving mother to Anne and her husband

Bruce Reevely, and Gregory Wjunenko and his wife Diane; and a proud

Baba of the late Christopher Reevely and of David Reevely and his

wife, Susan Burgess. In spite of her many struggles her high spirits

and good humour inspired all who knew her. Paraskewia?s family is

grateful for the compassion and care that she received in her later

years from the staffs at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre and at the

Ivan Franko Home for the Aged.

Friends may call at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street (North of Dundas) on Tuesday from 6 to 9 pm with panakhyda on Tuesday at 7 pm. Funeral on Wednesday at 11 am and then to St. Volodymyr's Cathedral for an 11:30 am service. Interment will take place at St. John's Dixie Cemetery (Dundas and Cawthra).

At Paraskewia's request, donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Hospital for Sick Children; to UNICEF; or to the Petro and Paraskewia Wjunenko Scholarship Fund, University College, University of Toronto.
