Polly (Pelahia) Chyczij 1923 - 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Polly Chyczij at home on March 5th, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John Chyczij. Loving mother of Ron and the late Luba Haluk. Devoted grandmother to Myron & Mark Haluk, Michael, Catherine, Lesia & Danusia Chyczij. Adoring great grandmother to Alexander, Timothy and Marie (Haluk). Loving aunt to John (Kichiy), Alexandra (Chyczij), Irene (Soltys), Marta (Chyczij), Oleh (Jacyszyn), Zorianna (Bunche), Oleh (Perun), Luba (Yakimetz), Areta (Buchner) & Marta (Kowtun). Survived by sisters Anna Jacyszyn and Tekla Perun, Pelahia joins her parents (Wasyl & Maria Polowyj) and sister Daria (Wojtowych) in union in heaven. Pelahia will always be remembered for her selflessness, devotion to family and eternal positivity. She had a passion for all things Ukrainian (especially embroidery) and a dedication to community. Her inspirational smile, sense of humour and caring manner will forever be cherished by all who met her. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and her many friends. Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Homes, 92 Annette Street, Toronto on Sunday, March 10th between 6 to 8 pm. Panakhyda Service will begin at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Holy Protection (St. Mary’s), 30 Leeds Street, Toronto on Monday March 11th at 10:00 am.
