In Loving Memory of Rita Gerada:

It is with great sadness that we announce that our dear Mother, Rita Gerada passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 89.

Rita is survived by her devoted children, Pat Gerada, Lorraine Gerada, Gloria McBride (David), John Gerada, and Frank Gerada. Predeceased by her dear husband, John Gerada, of 61 years and her son, Russel Gerada.

Our Mother leaves behind a legacy of love and gentle guidance for her grandchildren:  Andrea, Derek, Erica, Grant, Greg, Janessa, Jayme, Kristy, Laura and Paul and great-grandchildren, James, Lenny, Mason and Patrick.

She was much loved and is fondly remembered by her relatives in Australia and Canada.

We also want to thank the Staff and Residents at Baycrest who cared and loved our Mother.  The feeling was mutual.  A special thanks to Charity, who spent the last month sharing smiles and warmth with our mother at Baycrest.

I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family at this sad time. One of my fondest memories of Rita is how she welcomed us with open arms when we came to Canada on Vacation ,she was so happy to see her brother after so many years apart. Rita was so proud of all her children and she would glow with happiness when she spoke of them. Rest In Peace Rita you are now united with your husband, son, parents, brother and sister. From your sister in law Lillian and family
