Obituary
ROSA FARRACE (nee Scolaro) Rosa passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the early hours of the morning on Sunday July 17, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Carmen (2015). Loving mother of Silvana (David) and Joey (Manuela). Proud grandmother of Chiara, Bianca, Angelina, Julia and Matteo. Predeceased by her daughter Maria, parents Francesco (Scolaro) and Maria (Bisignano) and siblings Michele, Giuseppina, Giuseppe, Maria Catena and Antonina. Rosa will be warmly remembered by her kindness, strong spirit, dedication to family and with a great love of children. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-laws, brother-in law, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Friends may call at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, north of Dundas on Wednesday July 20th from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday July 21st from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday July 22nd morning at 9:30 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 72 Mansfield Avenue. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook Hospital for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosa’s memory may be made to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (please specify Dr. Brian Gilbert, the Schulich Heart Centre or Dr. Matthew Cheung, the Odette Cancer Centre).
