Obituary
Sofia Dias Coroa passed away peacefully at home on May 10th, 2021. Sofia will be deeply missed by her loving husband Jose, her three children - Donaria (Jorge), Sofia and Joe (Alisha) and three grandchildren - Matthew, David and Joshua. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and grandmother. She is survived by her brothers Agostinho and Francisco. Sofia is now in the presence of the Lord and reunited with her family in heaven - father Francisco, mother Maria do Carmo, sisters Aldina and Fernanda, brother Jose and brothers-in-law Domingos and Jose.
Donations can be made to World Vision Canada in Sofia's honour
Due to the current Covid - 19 restrictions in Toronto that allow a maximum number of guests to attend a funeral, the service details will be kept private and attendance will be by invite-only.

Our most sincere condolences on the passing of your dear Mother Sofia. She was such a kind and sweet soul. Take comfort in knowing she is at rest and her suffering is over. My the Lord take her in his arms and guide her home. I hope she will reunite with her family and with my Mother too. They know they were so loved and are terribly missed. Stay strong. God bless.

She would ask me why my front yard was all green and urge me to add color - once she gave me some bright fuschia flowers and I must admit that they looked beautiful! With deepest sympathies to the entire family. She will always be remembered in our hearts. We will always remember her smile, she was always smiling when we went to Carla's parents who lived next door. She was like a grandmother to my children as they were growing up next door. Every time I went to my in-laws it gave me a chance to say hi and talk for few minutes on the veranda. May she rest in peace.

My family and I send our love and condolences to the family of Mrs. Coroa. We are friends of her daughter, Sofia, and have heard lovely stories about her and who she was to all of you. Though I never met her, I feel like I got to know her through Sofia. She taught Sofia how to love those around her very well, for which we are very grateful.
