In Loving Memory of Susan Marie Bogard-Dygas

January 11, 1958 – September 1, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Marie Bogard-Dygas, beloved wife of Lawrence Dygas, who passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at Princess Margaret Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit.

Susan was a devoted wife, cherished sister, aunt, great-aunt, and dear friend. She had a beautiful soul and a kindness that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Susan is lovingly survived by her husband, Lawrence Dygas; her sister, Lisa Bogard; her brother-in-law, Slobodan; her beloved nephews, Oliver, Clay, and Adrian; her niece, Nesiah; her niece’s husband, Michael; her great-niece, baby Lailah; her brother-in-law, Max; and her many extended family members and close friends who loved her dearly and will forever cherish her memory.

Susan possessed an extraordinary artistic spirit. She was a remarkably talented interior decorator and florist, with a natural gift for creating beauty wherever she went. Her creativity, elegance, and eye for detail were evident in everything she touched. She also dedicated more than 30 years to property management, a career in which she brought the same care, pride, and devotion that she brought to every part of her life.

Above all, Susan was a woman with a kind and generous heart. She wanted nothing more than the best for the people she loved. She cared deeply for her family and friends and had a special way of making those around her feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her warmth, compassion, creativity, and generous spirit will never be forgotten.

Susan now peacefully rejoins her beloved mother and father, as well as her sisters, Gita,  and Anne Bogard. Anne was Susan’s beloved twin sister, and their bond was one that remained a special part of Susan’s life. Though both sisters had passed before Susan, she can now be comforted in knowing that she is reunited with them once again, along with her parents.

Though our hearts are broken by her absence, there is comfort in knowing that Susan is now surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

My beautiful Aunt Susan,

May you rest peacefully among the angels. May God protect you, carry you gently into His arms, and guide you home to the rest of your family. May you be surrounded by the love and peace you deserve. Your beautiful spirit, your loving heart, your incredible creativity, and all the memories you gave us will remain with us forever. You were deeply loved aunty Susie, and you will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered. May you rest peacefully among the angels and in eternal peace.
