It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Vittoria Addolorata Cioffi matriarch, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend, who peacefully passed away in her 96th year. On December 13, 2024
Vittoria was born in Cervinara Avellino , Italy, where she learned the values of hard work, generosity, and love — virtues she carried with her throughout her life. Vittoria was the heart of her family, a woman whose unending devotion to food preparation made every utensil she touched brighter. The meals she prepared brought people together, filled hearts, and created memories that will be cherished forever. She took great pride in keeping her home a place of comfort, laughter, and love, and her tireless care ensured that everyone who walked through her door felt cherished.
To Vittoria her family was everything. She dedicated her life to nurturing and providing for her family, sharing stories and traditions that honoured her heritage She expressed her love through her cooking, preparing delicious meals that brought family and friends together around the table. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, joy, and laughter, and there was no better way to experience her love than to share a meal she had lovingly prepared. Vittoria was a passionate, life-long supporter of the United Steelworkers Union.
Vittoria’s legacy is carried on by her children; Anna, Gioconda (Dano), Mike (Kim) and her grandchildren Dynelle, Antonio, Jasmine, Vittoria, and Adrien who will always remember her kind smile, and her boundless love. She is predeceased by her beloved parents Francesco and Fortuna, husband Antonio (1980),Predeceased by her siblings; Angela (Kostek), Giuseppina(Tadeus) Guiseppino( Rita), Lorenza, Elda, Pino (Elizabeta). She will be missed by her sister Amalia (Pietro) as well her brother-in-law, Franco Her many nieces and nephews will hold her memory dear to their hearts. and a large extended family and friends who will hold their memories of sitting at Vittoria’s kitchen table close to their hearts
While her presence will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in each of us, as we continue to honor her legacy through the stories we share.
