Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Babcia, and sister, Janina Luczynski, on May 12, 2026.
Born and raised in Poland, she immigrated to Canada while pregnant with her daughter, carrying with her a quiet strength and determination that would define her life. She was one of the strongest women we knew; resilient, loving, and always able to find light even during difficult times. Alongside her strength was a playful spirit and sense of humor that brought comfort and joy to those around her.
She raised her daughter on her own, and although they faced life’s challenges together, their bond grew into an unbreakable friendship. She was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.
Her greatest joy was being Babcia to her grandson. She adored every moment spent with him, from dance parties and games to learning dinosaur names just to see him smile. Being with her family meant everything to her, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her loving daughter, cherished grandson, and beloved sister.
Though our hearts are broken, we will forever hold onto her laughter, her strength, and the endless love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Rather than mourning a loss, her daughter and grandson welcome all who knew Janina to gather and share memories on May 25, 2026 at Cardinal Funeral
home in Toronto, ON. Visiting hours are from 11am to 1pm with a Celebration of Life at 1pm. A Scattering Ceremony will follow at Coronation Park at 2:30pm.
