Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Wenselus da Silva on 21 October 2024 in Toronto, Canada, she was 99 years old. Maria was born on the 28 September 1925 in San Fernando, Trinidad and was the first born child of Candido Cesar and Nina Amelia ( George ) da Silva.
Maria was predeceased by her parents, her son Joseph, her brothers Vernal and George da Silva and her sisters Theresa de Freitas and Carmina da Silva. Left to mourn her are her daughters Madeleine and Melia, her sons Michael ( Caroline ) and John, her Grandchildren Danielle, Joshua, Jami-Lyn, Gabriella and Gianna, one Great Granddaughter Georgia Ann, her siblings, Margarita Pomarede, John and Candida da Silva and Patricia Lewis.
There will be a Funeral Mass Saturday, 26 October 2024 at 11 AM at the St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 1701 Bloor St West, Toronto, Ontario ( 4167621026 ) Her ashes will be returned to the family plot at Paradise Cemetery, San Fernando, Trinidad.
