In Loving Memory of Maria Dolores Anceriz

December 2, 1939 – February 2, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing and honour the life of Maria Dolores Anceriz, who passed peacefully on February 2, 2025 in Toronto, at the age of 85. Surrounded by her niece/goddaughter (Gorett), sister (Rosaria) and nephew-in-law (Mike), she took her final rest, surrounded by love and was lifted into God’s embrace.

Dolores shared her entire life with her beloved sister (Rosaria), their bond a beautiful example of companionship and support. Dolores played a pivotal role in raising Gorett, whom she loved as her own, serving as a second mother, godmother and as a devoted aunt. To Alexander and Christian, Dolores was more than a great aunt; she was a third grandmother, whose love and presence illuminated their lives. They were the lights of her heart, and her affection for them knew no bounds.

Dolores was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on earth was marked by immense love for her family and unwavering faith in God. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Her passing has left an immense void in the hearts of her family and friends.

Dolores is survived by her sister Rosaria, brother Cesar, brother Luis and goddaughter Gorett. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, great nephews and a nephew-in-law who adored her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 7, 2025 at Cardinal Funeral Home (366 Bathurst St. Toronto, ON M5T 2S6) from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church (588 Adelaide St. W., Toronto, ON M6J 3P8) at 9:45am.

Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6E 1C6).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society in Dolores’ memory.
