Obituary

LENDOR, Uriel Elaine (nicknamed “Lover” by her maternal grandmother) after a long illness passed away peacefully on Monday February 20th, 2012 at Humber River Regional Hospital. Elaine was born in Guyana on December 25, 1928 and migrated to London, England in 1961 and to Canada in 1965. Beloved mother of Lloyd (deceased), Hazel, Ingrid, Anthony (deceased), Andrew, Gail, Kay, Wayne, Annette and Kevin, cherished and loving grandmother of twenty-five and great grandmother of fourteen. She is survived by siblings Claudette, Dorothy, Arthur, Ovid, Cyril and Carol and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by siblings Sheila and Archie. Cremation took place on Thursday February 23, 2012. A memorial service to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. James, 65 Church Street (at King) Toronto on Saturday February 25th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In loving memory of Elaine, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation, 2175 Keele Street, 7th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M6M 3Z4 or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
