Parris, Velvet. Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, August 12, 2011. Loving daughter of Audrey Sampson and the late Elroy Sampson. Also survived by second mother Mildred Parris. Also survived by daughter Shayla Parris and Shmar Parris. Grandmother of Shania, Shakayla amd Shaveya. Survived by sister Heather (Ron), Maxine, Barbara Anne (Patrick), Carmella, Brenda (Willis), Dean, Sheldon (Carolina), and Tracey. Predeceased by sister Dale. She leaves behind aunts, many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by her lifetime friends Ralph and Roger. Family and friends will be received at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St. (near Dundas) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. My brother and I were so sorry to hear of Velvet's passing last Friday August 12th, 2011. Our condolences to her family, especially Shemar and Shayla her children, and Sakayla, Shania and Sheveya, her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.

I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to Velvet's children, mother, and siblings. No one can take the pain away that comes from losing a mother, daughter or sister, but it will hurt a little less each day as it gets replaced with all the memories of the love and joy that you shared with them.
I know that Mom would be right there beside you all sharing in your grief and smiling at the memories.

To Sheyla and my grans, I wish you and your extended family our condonlences. Pls try your best to be strong for your kids, god will always be with you and them 24/hrs I will be keeping you and them in my prayers. During the time I had spent with Velvet, I have fond her to be very caring and fun loving, pleasant, entertaing, she tries to please all around her, we always had pleasant words for each other and friendly smiles.
